Person Centred Care

It is essential that people are treated with dignity and respect, no matter their circumstances. Understanding the resident’s life history, lifestyle, culture and preferences, including their likes, dislikes, hobbies and interests are all extremely important. Person Centred Care ensures that the person is treated as an individual. This is then reflected in their care plan which is devised with the help of the resident, their family and the nursing/care team.

This course will give a better understanding of how to do this and will help to give people the best possible experience whilst in a care setting.
