We all know fire safety is vital but it’s often not prioritised. This training is a perfect way to get this message across. Participants will gain a general understanding of basic fire awareness including what should be done in the event of a fire and how to prevent a fire occurring.
Who is the course for?
This course is designed for all members of staff. It will provide employees with greater fire safety awareness and will increase their confidence to take the right action should a fire occur.
Aim of the course
This course will ensure that participants are fully up to date with general fire regulations and legislation and gain a better understanding of fire prevention.
What we will cover
- Fire Safety Order and H&S issues regarding Fire Safety;
- Know the elements of a fire;
- Identify key hazards;
- Behaviours when faced with Fire;
- How to protect those we care for;
- Each individual’s responsibility to fire safety.
The course lasts 4 hours and will involve participant participation, group activity and open discussions in a relaxed learning environment. Upon successful completion of multiple-choice questionnaire, a certificate will be awarded. Our experienced trainers will be on hand to help throughout.
This is a mandatory requirement required by law, it is vital training for staffs that care and manage people within a care setting. It is enforced by CQC, H&S executive and the fire safety officer.
This course links directly to the Care Certificate and Diplomas in Health & Social Care; it can be cross-referenced for evidence towards these awards.
