Who is the course for?
This training is aimed at all staff who work in the health and social care sector and who work with people who have Alzheimers or other related Dementias. It is intended for those who want to gain a better understanding of Dementia and the difficulties this client group faces.

• Theory behind the disease
• Understand the role of working with individuals who have Dementia
• Replace negative views of Dementia with positives

Assessment
The course lasts 4 hours and will involve student participation, group activity and open discussions in a relaxed and informal learning environment.
Upon the successful completion of a multiple-choice questionnaire, a certificate will be awarded. Our experienced trainers will be on hand to help throughout.
Important Information
Although this is not mandatory training but it is vital training for staff who care and manage people within a care setting. This training will also assist Health and Social Care diploma students with their learning.
